Back pocket : Nathan Lovett-Murray(Essendon) - you know the bombers are having injury worries when Lovett-Murray(the hyphen) is named in their best 22. I haven't seen a guy this far out of his depth since I last read Che Cockatoo-Collins latest attempt at journalism.
Full Back : Antoni Grover (Fremantle) : the entire football fraternity was in shock when Grover announced his retirement this season. Grover has been a key element to freos defence for a decade and a huge reason why freo has been so successful in this time. Knowing Grover's retirement was imminent dockers recruiting manager drafted Zac Dawson as a replacement. The defence rests.
Back Pocket : Mark Austin (W/Bulldogs) - drafted by Carlton purely to help No.1 draft pick Bryce Gibbs acclimatise to Melbourne. Carlton 4 years later rightfully dumped Austin only for recruiting mastermind James Fantasia to throw him a lifeline. This is Austin's second Ken Mcgregor medal.

i was in shock when he annoounced his retirement ..... I thought he retired years ago.

HALF BACK LINE : Jordan Russell (Carlton) Sentanta Ohailphin(GWS) Richard Tambling (Adelaide)
Jordan Russell (Carlton) Carlton had so many injuries/chicken wing suspensions that Russell actually got game time this season. And boy did he not fail to unimpress. Time to go to the land of failed south australian first round draft picks. Port Adelaide.
Sentanta Ohailphin (GWS) Good theory behind drafting Sentanta. Draft A player who was introduced to the game several years ago who is still useless to build Isreal Folaus confidence. Unfortunately Sentanta did his knee in his first game for GWS and now Israel has no reference to his dudness. Congrats on your first Kenny Sentanta "poor mans Jim Stynes" Ohailphin.
Richard Tambling (Adelaide) A very high draft pick Tambling was touted as the second coming of Richmond superstar Michael Mitchell, Oh how wrong we were. Drafted before Buddy Franklin in 2004 draft this half back flanker wannabe and one game wonder was soon moved on from Richmond only to find himself at Adelaide where once again his so called 'talent' has yet to be displayed. You may have a future in the NTFL Richard but for now take solace in the fact you have made Ken Mcgregors team of the year.

Jordan Russell has actually been very good in the past few years for Carlton. This season he had a few injuries but has been more than a handy player. Very harsh to have him here.

James Sellar would be captain for sure .... absolute reject . Even the bays hated him in there side. I reckon he must have paid Neil Craig to draft him so that he got his sixth year and made him eligible for that new AFL super fund thing they brought in

Not that it's saying a lot, but I reckon Sellar had close to his best season, I even saw him take a mark at some stage.
