Is it official that Brogan won't be going around again?
I know Sheedy said he was done for the year as a player, I'd be amazed if they throw him out there again.

Not official, but likely IMO.

Although, to back up Giles and if they have another very young ruckman or two developing and they can afford to keep him for 8-10 games, why not.

Wont cost them anything. $$$.

Has a lot to offer but just doesn't look like he is interested a lot of the time. I was a big fan (not being a blues supporter) of his for the last few years. Would a Russell >> Knights trade work??

we dont really need a 23+ year old who cant make another clubs best side. I think we are better off loading up with young talent from the draft and getting them ready for AFL in 2 years time

Every other club loved Russell (like you) because he turned the ball over so much, he'd gift other teams goals.

OK, I reckon Im pretty likely to get shot down for this, but I can't help feeling Brad Green's farewell game was a selfish exercise on his behalf.

Been a great servant of the club, and 1 club player I understand, but to retire so you can say goodbye after a game when there is 1 more game in the season imho just doesn't sit right.

Granted Im not a fan of these farewell games (didn't think Tyson Edwards' was right either), but would have preferred to see him play the season out then whip around in a car before a home game next season.

Mark McVeigh can be added to list, told Hirdy 3 weeks ago that he didn't want a farewell game, asked to be put on the long term injury list so a roockie ( Lee ) could make his debut.
