Power got lucky. only down by 6 goals

Any positives out of the match?

Only saw bits and pieces of the game.

Makes it hard without Shultz as there is seemingly no one else who can take a contested mark up forward. Westhoff is not up to AFL standard and i'm jsut not sure whether Butcher is going to measure up either. Maybe it's time to rol the dice and see if Chaplin can play Forward. Time to experiment as the season is Gonski...
Can realistically seeing Port only win another 2 or 3 games at best this season.

Positives?

Perhaps Jonas in defence.

Lobbe in ruck, and kicked 2 goals.

The effort was positive, won the clearances, just couldn't kick the ball to our forwards advantage. Jonas was good. I think we could be proud of a pretty undermanned team today.

Can't believe Jonas wasn't in our best players. Killed Stevie J. I know he has struggled this season, but for a guy playing his fifth game, I though he did a top job. Was also impressed by Lobbe. Definately is our number 1 ruckman. I'd be playing him and Redden as Renouf is a dud and we need to continue to play this younger guys. Butcher I thought moved into some good positions but failed to finish his good work. There were 2 chances in a row in the second quarter which would have levelled the scores if he kicked the goals, but missed both and Selwood went down the other end and hurt us. A lot of positives though to take from the game. Rodan is a must have in the side as well. We easily won the clearance count yesterday and I believe he has a lot to do with that. His experience will also help some of younger guys in the midfield.

Lobbe is ok around the ground but gets smashed in the hit outs every time. Renouf is the polar opposite.
