Throw the book at him, im sure they will find a rule he can be charged with and give him 3. It was clearly deliberate, unsportsmanlike, rough conduct, not in the spirit of the game, anything you want to call it. Unfortunately thats about as tough as Josh Hunt gets.

He didn't stomp on him, just pinned his hand to the ground. Smart play, but the afl bring what it is, will give him 93.75pts.

So its ok to bag a guy for standing on someones hand but you will defend a guy who comitted the most cowardly dog act there is. Obviously we see things differantly but eye gouging is the lowest act possible regardless of what club they come from. Would never defend an Essendon player if they eye gouged someone

He didn't step on betts to injure him, he stepped on the hand to pin it so he couldn't release the ball. And the cats picked up the free for holding the ball as a result. Good play. Where in the rules does it say you can't use your legs in a tackle? A lot of tackles you see the player wrap his whole body around the guy with the ball.

I thought it was a very smart moment in football. Like I said, he just pinned him, didn't stomp him. Not like he was wearing the old style sprigs either.
