Round 9 vs Collingwood

What's going on peeps? It's Thursday, we've got our biggest home game of the year and no-one wants to talk about it.
I think the team will go in unchanged, MacKay the only doubt, plenty of guys in the wings to replace him if he doesn't come up.
Collingwood's injuries mean we've never had a better chance to get one back on a rival that continually beats us up.
I wonder if Eddie will have a security detail assigned to him and his family while at AAMI? Or is he only intimidated by Port supporters?
Fire up people!

I think everyone is still in a bit of shock how well they are doing.
With no Swan or Reid, Crows should win by about 4 goals. Need to play close on Pendlebury and Beams. Im not too worried about Sidebottom as he gets alot of touches but doesnt hurt opposition sides with them. Constant wide handballs and dinky 20 metre kicks (I watch him closely as he is in my FF teams).

VB will go to Pendles for sure. Beams will have to go head to head with one of our midfielders. We are finally in a position where we are the ones being matched up on and not the other way around. We have plenty of players that are rotating through the MID which is a real plus. Last week Callinan, Wright, Porpas, Vince, Mckay all had a stint on ball with Thomo, Sloane, Danger, VB.
I think we can really expose them in the ruck and if we keep our Centre clearance work going should get over the line. For me the big worry is Cloke at CHF on Talia.... Dawes and Truck im fine with but if Cloke clunks them 60m out we are in trouble

A completely different side would have to run out for us to lose this one.
If the boys maintain their current intensity then we'll win by 4 goals if it's wet, and 10 if it's dry.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Collingwood have half written off this game. With the injuries they have I reckon they are probably at the point where they just want to make it to the bye and then set up again for the second half of the season. Next week they have the Suns, then the bye, therefore this week wouldn't be a crucial win in their calculations IMO.

I'm heading to this one expecting a real contest.
We have good versatility, if it's dry, Jenkins and Tippett both tall options, wet, Callinan, Porplyzia and Petrenko predominately have ground level ability.
I'm hopeful of a win but by no means am I writing the Pies off.

I'm the opposite I reckon we need to pay very close attention to Sidebottom, his touches are quality. Doughty has to go to him if he plays up forward.

He was on the wing last week. Plays the link man between the two 50s.

VB is an interesting tagger, finds plenty of the footy himself during the shutdown role

Douglas in
Lynch out.
I would have played Lynch as I think we now may lack a tall forward and Douglas has only played 1 game in the SANFL.
If no injuries this week, who goes out for Walker next week?

Douglas comes in because of the weather I reckon. Extra small for what looks like a wet game. At very least the playing surface will be damp. Good move I reckon.

Who probably offers more in that he will rotate as a mid/fwd, whereas Lynch would rotate between half forward and wing/half back. Douglas will more than likely get the fluro subs vest and be eased backed to full fitness.
I can't remember in the last five years when our squad was this healthy (and heaven help us, stays this healthy). It's a good dilema to be in.

Wouldnt want an injury/poor form to Tippet, Jenkins or Jacobs. Dont think its going to be too wet tomorrow night.

Im happy with the Douglas inclusion, another Midfield rotation and always bobs up with a couple of goals. Im not a fan of Lynch as a sub, if anything as a medium size FWD only and Porpas marks so well he almost takes his spot. But good depth to have.
