Intersting topic this and sure to start some debate..
For those who heard it, i think Rowey made himself look like an ignorant red neck last night on 5AA. For once i was on Cornsey's side.
Saying things like:
"i'm scared of muslims"
it's "political correctness gone mad".
Why should we look after them and forget about ourselves, their just throwing it in our faces etc etc.

This behaviour just fuels the fire of the ignorant.
There are already prayer rooms in most places we frequent everyday, not a very big deal i wouldn't have thought....

I agree AF, not too much of a deal and Rowey should have shut up instead of showing his ignorance to all who were listening.

The only issue I could potentially see for the AFL is where do they draw the line? There's a lot of different religions out there, and surely they cant cater for all of them??

We need prayer rooms at Prospect.
Could double as a room to host AA functions.

The prayer rooms are multi-denominational.

Do we really need them though!

Where does it stop, soon we will have prayer room in restuarants, petrol stations, video stores etc etc.

The AFL has alot more to worry about than placing prayer rooms at each ground FFS.

Lot's of people work at these grounds - catering, cleaning etc. It's one room in a giant building.

Is it for staff or is it a public prayer room for footy supporters etc etc.

Or even Pastafarians. Imagine the stares I'll get when I walk in with a colander on my head.

Did Rowey drop the term "towel head" last night?

Not sure what the issue is here, there's plenty of other rooms at Footy Park I would never use.

Then ban the drunken idiots.

This is a storm in a teacup. The prayer rooms are multidenominational, yet the headlines and articles refer only to Muslims, designed to dog-whistle the frothing rednecks in typical click-bait fashion.

Once again security is taken to something that really isnt needed when they could be dealing with other issues.

I have no problem with prayer rooms and people who use prayer rooms, im not religious myself but couldnt care less if the person next to me is.

My issue more is- Do we need prayer rooms at AFL grounds.

They might as well put a creche in the grounds that would be used more and would create more jobs. LOL!

The prayer rooms are for anyone, but will be only used by Muslims. Don't think there are any of religions that require everything to be dropped for prayer. Would like to see one, just so I know exactly which direction mecca is.

All hail the giant spaghetti monster.
