Shows how much attention I've showed, had no idea Ben Hudson was playing at Brisbane until he kicked a goal.
How Armfield gets a game is beyond me, he's a f**king useless footballer.

How many throws are incorrect disposals have players got away with tonight. As soon as there is a tackle laid players just drop the ball.

It's pretty poor... Though I reckon it let's the game flow better, a lot less frees paid ...

I hate it would rather see 50 frees paid so it is rubbed out.
Players dont even try to kick it or get a handpass away, as soon as they are tackled they drop it

Brisbane terrible tonight, look slow and tired after a short break (strange programming).
Carlton too classy all over the ground though.

Brisbane better than that 91 drubbing. Clearly gassed in the second half.

I think they will be better than that. Just tonight they looked ordinary. Carlton are a good team, should push for a top 4 spot this year, although they have only played Richmond and Brisbane, still with a good start they should look to push for that top 4 if they want to be contenders. Next week will tell us plenty I guess.
Brissie, well I think they will do better this year than last year. Although the difference was they beat melbourne who will probably be looking bottom 4 and got smashed by a top 4 pushing side. So really it tells you where they are at and that is better than the bottom 4, but nowhere near the top.
Just for what its worth I believe the bottom 4 will be from the GWS, GC, Port and Melbourne.

watched the game until just after 3/4 time, could see the writing on the wall, Lions are typical of a club where the "cupboard is bare of talent", seriously have maybe five of six players up to standard, the rest cant play under pressure, soon as Carlton applied the screws Brissie were sunk.

Some superficial analysis of the Lions going on here. At this point of the season the players have not built up their tanks and a short break is a massive advantage during the early rounds. Another factor is the strength of the opposition. Carlton will probably go top four this year and the Lions were without Drummond and Brown as well. Their whole balance is thrown out by these omissions as they don't have the depth. If Brisbane lose by 91 at home to a mid table club then yeah, bottom four looks likely.
The fact remains that they kept pace with the (more developed) Blues for about a quarter and a half and the second half the Lions were running up and down on the spot. When the 5th ranked side play against the 15th side from the year before with two days extra preparation then you have a blow out. The fact is that the Lions and the Blues have both improved this season.
