What a sad day for freedom of speech

I just joined the AFC this week and I have had one of my favourites canned for drinking beer in his Boxers? (which we guys in regional sport do all the time) If we could tell some real stories of those gone past?
And now that great ruckman crucified for a frivolous remark (LOOK at his record) AHH but perhaps the fellow involved from AFL has evil intent from the past?

Nothing to do with Rendell being white, a players parentage should have nothing to do with his chances of being recruited. Stupid comment that has.come back to bite him on the arse

Fair comment IMO. The recruiting of indigenous players needs to be carefully looked at otherwise Matt's comments will be 100 percent spot on in future. The indigenous players need extra assistance and if that's not provided, recruiters will give up on recruiting them. Imagine the AFL without the Jurrah's, Betts', Franklin's, Rioli's etc, etc.

He's just said what is obvious to 99% and been crucified as per the usual over-reacting minority (aka Dumbetriou)

I just hope Rendell doesn't back down and make some token apology as an AFL-orchestrated PR appeasement. If he believes his comment was taken out of context and he meant no offence he should stand by what he said.
