Nope.
There is such a thing as too much football.
The NHL & NFL will keep me comfortable for the next few months,
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

I thought I was BUT...

I chucked on the R1 Adelaide v Hawthorn game while I was trying to settle a cranky baby on Sunday and despite it being one of the few games we won this year, I'm quite happy to have a few months off before fronting up to watch that mob of battlers go around again.

Yes. But only because the rugby world cup has finished. Luckily the Wallabies still have 2 matches before Christmas and then the Super 15s start in Feb.
Wish the English club rugby was shown on fox as cricket, soccer, golf and tennis are all as boring as batshit.
The PC and NFL will have to get me through and we did have the Currie Cup final on Sunday night.
Fox used to have a mucher broader range of sports to watch in the 90s.
I think the BLuray version of this years GF comes out soon so that will get a few runs too.

Ditto. AFL is so heavily marketed and analysed that I don't mind a break from it.

Kind of but you need to have a break from it otherwise like most things that you involve yourself with over and over again you will just eventually get bored with it. Missing it inturn makes you more excited to play/watch it when footy season comes around again.

Yeah I found a similar situation with bowls. Some blokes just don't like a good hip and shoulder on the green and/or the tennis court do they?

Night Owls maybe? Just get in and enjoy it. When the organisers are handing out the bowls for you to use make sure you ask for "narrow bowls" and don't get sucked into using a set of old Henselite or Drakes Pride "wide" bowls from yesteryear. Unless you don't give a stuff and are just there to have a few beers and a bit of a laugh.
You want to play with Taylors Redline SR or Vector VS. Maybe even Heselite Dreamlines.

The way Port played this year, the press assosciated with it,the constant jibes from mates, the comments from people on here, the wife and her continual "Why are you going? They'll only lose" comments.

Miss it? Sure do.

But as people have said, footy going from Feb/Oct is far too much. I like the Spring Racing, I like cricket ( now baseball ) and other summer pursuits, swimming etc so a break isn't a bad thing at all.

Anyway, how many days a year do you pick up the paper to no footy news?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Same.

Plus had a Volunteers Lunch at the Bay last week, SANFL Volunteers Dinner this Friday Night, SANFL Coaches Dinner next Friday Night. That takes it to December LOL.

January start getting the gear ready for Auskick and organising the centres for that, so it's really only a month off.....

Miss it to a degree, but spring and summer means NBL for me, so that keeps me occupied over the break. Love my NBL big time.
