Still havent had the chance to unfurl our flag at our home ground in the first round for the fourth time in a row. Last time we did was in 1953.

AFL should definately take that into consideration when doing the fixture, they know who the reiging premier is and should give them the right to host a home game in round 1 to unfurl the flag.

IIRC didnt Collingwood this year opt to play RD 1 against Port at Etihad because they wanted to unveil the flag at a blockbuster match at the MCG?

Sounds about right bigshow, well imo the afl should a) arrange the reiging premier to play at home in round 1 to unfurl the flag and b) arrange it against the premiers grand final opponent.
