I like the concept but the face looks to happy. Needs to look angrier.

The new one has more artistic style but lacks the aggression of the old one.

Although not formally trained in the art of reading big cat body language, I would suggest the "new" logo represents an inquisitive tiger as opposed to the "old" logo where the tiger appears to be demonstrating some form of aggression.

Thoughts Psyber?

I reckon the chest and the way it holds it's head is meant to represent a certain pride, but agree with D14 and Pysber that it's facial epxression could be more aggressive

New Richmond logo - like or dislike

Postby The Sleeping Giant » Wed Oct 19, 2011 11:19 am

Well it hasn't made like Richmond anymore than before. I guess the real test will be after the first 6 games next year when the memberships start getting cut up. Some might think twice with the new logo.

Prob because the eyes on the old one were looking at '9' oclock, must've been considered a bad omen....

New one looks like a nagging female tiger.
Old one wasnt good but was better than the new one.
Only decent "tiger" emblem Ive seen is the Bengals in the NFL but thats mainly because their colours are more like a tigers and less like a bumble bee.

It works quite well I reckon. The new Tiger is quite obviously looking up longingly from 9th position, a very good representation IMO.
