So we are wanting Ebert ( with good reason - to add to our thin midfield stocks ) but dont seem prepared to give away pick 28 to get him. Cmon lads, just give the Eagles the pick and take him!!

Griffin off the table so we now look to Renouf or Seaby. Please not Seaby!

We have everything to gain with the Ebert trade, we shouldnt be trying to play hardball with WCE. If we stuff it up, we are idiots. You don't give up a decent player with AFL experience who actively wants to come to your club just to save 5 places in the draft.

do the deal get ebert with pick 28, then put the time into getting a ruck/tall forward, why not try and get both renouf and seaby to back up lobbe, who should become the no.1 ruck man at the club if not this year next year

The priority should be a ruckman, sort that out first then have a crack at Ebert not the other way around

Should be both, we are in desperate need of a ruckman and another midfielder.....focus should be ebert initially, at least he wants to play at port. There is a few ruckman floating about and is less urgent, the likes of renouf, blake, seaby are all available.

if blake is on the market grab him and renouf i would be more than happy if lobbe, blake an renouf were our rucks as well as get the best young talls from the upcoming drafts

Port have secured renouf in exchange for pick 33.

So we get Renouf for pick 33. Happy with that. 50+ games, Premiership player, 23 years old. Other than poaching a premier ruckman from a club we could not have asked for any better.

Now to secure Ebert ASAP to add to our mid-field.

Will port budge with pick 28 or still try and invite another club into the equation? Personally i just want the deal done before adelaide decide they might want to make a serious play for him.

Deal involving 4 clubs, almost done accoring to Rhode, says it will be done either late tonight or early monday.

Seems a great pick, what we need.

Just need to keep him away from parked cars and fires!
