I'm sure Matty Knights would of been a better replacement for Mark Williams but i'm not sure of Knights coming in now when theirs more damage than 2 years ago.
Port are gonna struggle regardless & if Knights got the assistants role the Port supporters expectations of him would be huge but not so of their own coach, they love to blame those outsiders of the club not Port people for their failure.

Knights was despised by a decent portion of the Port Magpies list when he coached the side back in 2004. I was stunned when he was appointed as Essendon coach. I'm guessing that if he didn't have such a long AFL career, he surely wouldn't have even got a look in?? The bloke clearly has NFI how to manage footy players and his tactics are antiquated. Surround yourself with losers and that sort of mentality spreads like wildfire. After winning just 3 matches last year, that's the last thing we need.
