Unfortunately not an isolated incident for the Hawks recently, even thinking back two weeks ago v Geelong, dominated the first quarter for very little scoreboard advantage.
Set shots at goal cost us a spot in the GF, as much as I too yelled at the TV with the Luke Hodge possible high contact with 90 seconds to go

and the Puopolo holding the ball against

Amazing to think that minus Roughy and to a lesser extent Gilham, that the Hawks were 2 minutes from playing in a Granny - No consolation to their supporters I know, but they have been super brave this season.

The decisions made in the vicinity of each teams goals were costly for HW but not co$tly for me
Davis goals, Gibson held in the goalsquare, goal should have been disallowed
Hodge should have been paid a too high in front of goal, called play on
Franklin taken high in a marking contest, should have been a free kick
A Cloke kick looked out on the full, but a HW player apparently touched it whilst in play, resulted in a throw in and CO goal to Shaw
Buddy kicks a freak goal HW lead again
Dawes pushed in back, no free in front of goal, but made no difference as Ball kicks the winning goal shortly after
90 seconds left Puopolo tackled highish , pinged holding the ball in front of HW goals, very very very iffy decision
There were a dozen decisions that were incorrect in this quarter, mostly favoring CO
CO never gave up and made their own luck, and in a way deserved to win thru perserverance
BUT
Its hard enough for HW to beat CO fair and square, but very hard when they are not getting the roll of umpiring decisions
In my mind the best team on the night is inconclusive
