Will be interesting to see this in the draft. Will GWS give him a 2nd life line?

Yes, they will I think.
Would be foolish to pass up an experienced player for free.

I don't think GWS should be recruiting anyone over 25 years old, unless they are a marque type player like Ablett.

I strongly disagree. I think they should try and gather at least 12-14 mid range mature bodies. I dont believe they will attract a marquee player like Ablett ( they may get Scully but he 'aint no Ablett ) and in doing so I think they will need more of the Brennan/Harbrow/Krakouer type that the GC got and can walk right into their first 22 for at least 2 years. This gives them 2 years to develop the rest of the squad ( 26-28 players ) who are under 18-19 years of age.

I think if asked the Suns would now like another 3 or 4 mature bodies in the team. Still gives you 25-30 kids in the squad.

Sheedy and Lovett may find themselves talking again....

Agree there Booney all new Clubs need plenty of experienced players with hardened match and pre-season experience, if they went in with just talented youth we would see 200pt floggings each week

They may pre-select him and trade him on for a pick, or perhaps in a deal with another player. Who knows really. But I would doubt Lovett would fit into there thinking as a player.

maybe. but wouldn't that be a bit of a risk? what if no one else is even remotely interested? does that mean GWS would have him on their list and have to pay him (i know money isn't really an issue with them though) if no body was prepared to trade for him?

They wouldn't preselect him unless they have already worked out the trade they wanted from another club

SACKED Saint Andrew Lovett is being investigated over another alleged sexual assault, it has been reported.

Lovett only last month successfully defended a separate rape claim in court.

A Fairfax newspaper has reported a woman contacted police in February alleging she had been sexually assaulted by the footballer in 2009 while he was playing for the Bombers.

A police spokesman last night told the Herald Sun that police had interviewed a 28-year-old Coburg man about an alleged sexual assault and released him pending further inquiries.

Lovett had been fighting his other rape case when the allegations were reportedly made.

Lovett was found not guilty on July 25 of two counts of rape and an alternative rape charge laid over the same incident.

In that case, a woman alleged Lovett raped her while she was drunk and sleeping at a party in Saint’s teammate Jason Gram’s Port Melbourne apartment in 2009.

Ummm that's 2009. As long as he's cleaned himself up now, that's in the past surely?
