Would think this is extremely unlikely, on a number of levels.

If he has one would think he would be spewing about today's events at the Crows. If it was up to me, Nathan Bassett would make it to the last 3 to be interviewed for the top job at West Lakes.

Actually, I wouldn't be so surprised

More likely that he's contracted to Norwood for next year?

I just think if he was to leave Norwood before his contract is over, it wouldn't be to go to Port, who wouldn't be able to compete financially with other clubs. I wouldn't be against it, I just think it would be unlikely.

If he has aspirations to coach at the highest level, it's not unlikely at all. He might want it sooner than later and hanging around at Norwood would only delay the opportunity. And I'd imagine if true his management would/should of had the foresight to add a clause that if a head coach position arose, he would have a get out option

Things change of course, but when Nathan signed on at Norwood, he expected at the time he would need at least 3 years in that role before even considering an AFL role. He's also very keen on the Norwood Football Club and would probably like to fulfill his agreement.
I would say a lot of what Bass does in 2012 will be determined by what happens in the 2011 SANFL finals series.

Keith Thomas, Rhodey, Primus and Bass running Port, old port legends are rolling in their grave.
Norwood did end up getting a side in the AFL after all

Wouldn't Port be the better option? They are getting a massive injection of money, no doubt there will be a bigger clean out of "staff", no Trigg and co. He may see more potential in Port's list also.
Guarantee he has an AFL get out clause in his contract. All coaches with bigger ambitions would.

Not really ... Bob McLean was a Norwood man as well

He definitely has an out clause for AFL positions.

Think this is right, but not completely certain
Primus was 94-96
Rohde was 96-99

A Jarman? He has been mentioned. Not many take him seriously though.

Everyone else from Norwood is at the Power so why not!
If Bass does not get the job at the AFC as Senior Coach its likely they will snap him up pretty quickly, likely in a junior development role if not as the main Assistant Coach!
