The 2011 nominees for the Chris Judd 'they got off light' award are
- Angus Monfries for hardly copping any stick after his pathetic dive cost Jordan Lewis matches
- Joel Corey for getting off scott free after doing a sling tackle when everyone in the league has been going for weeks
- The Collingwood football club for not having to leave Victoria until Round 19
- Heath Shaw for being allowed to play finals football this year. What were the odds on that?
- Justin Sherman for only copping four games for being a racist arsehole
- Travis Varcoe for not been slagged mercilessly after the biggest squib I've seen on a footy field for many in a year in a match where Jonathon Brown showed what real courage is
I vote for Sherman. He got off very light for mine.

REB

On this, there is courage and then there's madness.
Jonathon Brown has gone beyond courageous. He has lost the plot.

His wife must be absolutely hating him for the way he recklessly throws his body into contests like that!![]()
Gutsy stuff and I wouldn't expect anything less from the big fella.
I blame Mitch Clark for getting his elbow in the way!

It was never his ball to go for. Clark would have clunked it!

Oh well. If Browny didn't do stuff like that he wouldn't be one of the best CHFs of all time.
Keep doing it I say! Wish he'd done that last year and hit Justin Sherman instead!

I did notice this. I thought there was a penalty for players who 'over-react' these days. Is this correct, or is it just something that's been talked about? If it is a rule, then why does Monfries not have a case to answer?
Can't get Lewis' 2 games back, so I'm not interested in that. Just want clarification of the rule.

Said it in the live thread. Brown isn't courageous, he is insane.
