I loved the Cheer Squads response to criticism of that.. "the last line was mean to be 'fooled by the AFL'".
Brilliant banner and they had every right to do it. It's sedate compared to what some people would do if they had their club ripped away from them.

Posted: Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:33 pmIt's particularly interesting when you consider how much money the AFL gave Carlton when they were in strife a few years back. What Fiztroy owed was chicken feed by comparision. Mind you by the same token I STILL think Melbourne has too many AFL clubs.

The South Cheer Squad did a banner for the last game of 1981 that said "Keep South South". The players wouldn't run through and ran around it so the cheer squad did!
