West coast will make finals on current form.

Richmond are too up and down at the moment and i think will miss finals.

West Coast.....how is there resurrection going over there? That's a huge turn around from last year because at the end of the year they were terrible.

So for me, WC, yes but unless they get a home final they'll struggle.

Richmond, they play footy that resembles Carlton a few years ago, high scoring and (relatively) easily scored against. They could sneak a place, but again I think their style will mean they just make up the numbers.

West Coast yes. They can make top 8 but cant see them winning enough away from home to push for top 4. They will need a couple of home finals to progress deep into finals action. Have impressed me greatly and are easily most improved side of season.
Richmond still not sure, have been whacked by pies and hawks and lost to carlton so they need to claim a big scalp. Dont think 8 this season but will give a big push next year.

have seen richmond live twice this year, last night and against the kanga's a month ago. their movement of the ball through the centre and willingness to take the game on has really impressed me and has helped them to win games. main problem for both teams will be injuries when/if they come around and the lack of depth both have.

Tigers a chance for Finhals but not certain.
Coasters are the real deal. Will nearly make top four, and a possible Premier a couple of years further down the track. They are back.

West Coast may not quite be the real deal this year, but have set themselves up beautifully by finishing 15, 11 and 16 in the last three years.

The Crows missed a golden opportunity and should have finished 15-16th last year. Because it was a compromised draft meant it would work IN Adelaide's favour not against them. Imagine if they had have got the other two best players in amongst all the picks the Gold Coast had, and in 2-3 years time they developed into those like Tippett and Dangerfield now, to complement how good their current young players be in the next 2-3 years. And it is unlikely Gold Coast will quite be up to challenging for the flag before 2105. Doesn't pay to be honourable in the AFL these days.

Both could make the finals but have no chance of playing in a prelim final.

West Coast are on fire at the moment and are playing a style which has caught clubs off guard. I expect them to come back to the pack when teams work em out.

Richmond are a real up and down mob but their best is good. Their defence doesnt have a lot though, teams with a good forward line will tend to sort them out.

Both vastly improved, no doubt!

They will win more than one before then. ;)

The Eagles look very good at the moment, & remember they gave Freo a touch-up without Embley & Kerr. Best ruck combination in the AFL without a doubt, and when one considers how many gun players they were missing last year - and who are now back fit & firing, maybe we all just underestimated them from the get go. I reckon they will finish 6th, then depending on who they get 1st final......

Richmond look like a club on a definite path with a very sound base, but still a year or two away from being the powerhouse they were around 30 years ago. I CAN envision a Gold Coast/Richmond grand final around the 2014/2015 period........

I think West Coast will finish 6th or 7th and Richmond will finish outside the 8. Richmond are going along as expected - gradual improvement. West Coast have been a real surprise and while there is a long way to go - it shows that you can rebuild under the same coach which will give the likes of Ross Lyon and Neil Craig some hope.

John Worsfold had some tickets in hand though. Something Neil Craig doesn't have.

One would think so with 90 odd years to do it.

Yep, having a premiership cup tucked under the wing does help a bit. Something Craigy and Lyon can only wish for.

Is Freo & Essendon not big scalps for the tigers? Probably had the toughest four opening rounds out of any club. Have a look at who they have played & where those teams are on the ladder. Not saying they are going to make it but pretty happy with the improvment.

agree choppy.

i think we will make the 8, and have the ability to knock off a big side in the finals. but cant see us being a premiership threat this year
