Can the Power put two insipid performances behind them and fire up against the Hawks? No Rioli is a bonus and Hawthorn don't have a good record at Football Park but will this be enough for the Power to have a chance? Port need to improve in every area to have any chance.

Congrats to Simon Phillips (Port Adelaide debut). Paul Puopolo and Isaac Smith who are making their AFL debuts.

Port have played Hawthorn at Football Park 10 times for 8 wins, and have kicked 52 more goals than the Hawks in the 10 games.

I'm well aware of the Powers dominance over the Hawks BUT the Powers performances this season (not just the last 2 weeks) have been simply TERRIBLE apart from 3 qtrs against the Crows and a few minutes in all their other matches.
Simply impossible to see the Power winning this week as they lack the Skills, Confidence and more importantly any sort of functional game plan that would allow them to kick a winning score.
Perfect example of this was the 1st 1 minute of the game last week against Nth Melb, the Power (K.Cornes) had 2 free kicks in the centre of the ground and yet Nth Melb kicked the 1st goal of the game without the Power even moving the ball forward of centre !!! Go Figure !!!!

About the only good thing to come out of this game is that it's one of the very few Port games televised on FTA up here so I can watch it from the comfort of home...

Can't fault the endeavour. But that should the rule. Not the exception. Week in, week out.

What's going on with these fade-outs? Just not fit enough? Dead in that last quarter.

Telling stat from Special Bruce: we've been outscored 34 goals to 12 in the last quarter this year. Last night makes that 39-13.

Just hope nobody is satisfied with a "good effort"...
