Surely not? Our midfield is struggling big time and they drop one of our prime ball getters...Yes his form hasn't been the best but FFS please you telling me Jaensch, Symes, Smith and Wright will give you more than Bernie?

He hasnt been named for the WWT Eagles either and came off late in the last quarter hobbling so maybe its some sort of injury?

it looked like someting happened when he got tackled by Duigan in that last quarter. But if he isnt it is very poor form by Craigy!

I think he's carrying something but Phil Harper reckons he needs to find touch and will be playing SANFL this week.

I think both calls are correct. Both Vince & Otten have basically been passengers this year.

Both at their best would be a huge loss. Both are far and away from their best though.

Andy Otten sent a scare through the camp at training yesterday when he hurt his reconstructed knee. but scans revealed his ACL is still in tack and it is hopefully just bone bruising. so even if he was selected he wouldnt be playing. he will see a specialist on monday

Good win tonight. Luke Thompson, Sam Jacobs and Brodie Smith were terrific for blokes tha have only played a handful of games. The umpires were a disgrace. The AFL wonders why people in this state, fans no longer find AFl an attractive product. I think St Kilda got the best of the poor decisions but the Chris Knights was gifted two goals from soft decisions at crucial times and may have made the difference in the end!

St Kilda's first 2 goals were from very soft frees which gave them the momentum to get back into the game.

Umpiring is the same everywhere. Sturt vs North game today was a disgrace. I've learnt to not worry about it anymore as on the odd occasion it will benefit us. Not often mind you.

On the umpiring I couldn't believe the amount of the falling into the back calls st kilda got moments after the same thing seemed to happen to the crows.
Game should have been done and dusted at half time but left the door slightly ajar and st kilda almost snuck back through. That said after being in the same spot the week before it was good to see the crows hold on and conjure goals at critical times.
Match review panel wont be kind to us this week with Tambling definitely gone, sam jacobs in trouble and one other incident that i can't remember at the moment likely to be looked out. Also doubtful that davis and hendo will be available next week

I thought Craigy made Rucci eat some humble pie during the press conference after the game when he mentioned that the team had 9 players in it with less than 20 games experience. After Rucci's incessant reporting regarding Craig's declaration that he was coaching the most exciting list since he's been at the club. You could almost hear Rucci squirming.

No doubt we will take a hit at the tribunal, Tambling definetly in trouble, Jacobs will probably have to answer a charge regarding his contact with Gram's head and Tippet may also have a nervous few days for his punch to Sam Fischer's gut.

Hopefully Sloane will be back next week. It will be interesting to see how Vince responds with WWT after being dropped. There will be a spot for his taking next week.

Well, was at the game last night and it was really good to see them respond to a challenge rather than roll over or get a case of the fumbles.

After watching the tv coverage tonight, I have to say that even in that 3rd quarter they were still going pretty hard at the footy TBH, it was far removed from what they served up against Port a couple of weeks back.

Luke Thompson was very impressive, thankfully given Davis' injury which is really disappointing for the young fella.

On the whole though, I really feel that we'll see a steady curve of improvement from this team as the season goes on.

Sloane is a possible in next week, and word is Petrenko had a ripper for WWT today. Vince is in the wings also of course, I don't know how he went today.

The draw opens up for us in the next month also if we can make the most of it. All in all plenty to be optimistic about.

3Qtrs of good solid footy, apart from the 3rd when they got there hands on the footy and we couldnt get it off them. Happy with the performance. Heard we had 9 players with under 20 games! Brodie Smith was another that really impressed me, his 2nd Qtr he was everywhere and has been a much under rated 1st year player in the comp IMO.
Brodie Martin may need a run back at the Double blues when Rory/Vince/Otten comes back he made some silly little mistakes on Sat night.

Very happy with Luke Thompson's game and his continual improvement however he needs to stand up for the rest of the year now with Davis looking like that Shoulder is gonna give him trouble and could keep him out.

The Big Ticket was great up FWD and gotta love when he clunked that mark against the 2 saints defenders.

Big Sauce was great both in the ruck and around the ground and a good trade by AFC. However him and Tambling could miss a week or 2..... fingers crossed for a good result.....

All in all a good solid effort and much needed win.

very very impressed with Smith. I reckon we've got another good one here. His second quarter was sensational and if that's an indication of what is coming when he has matured as an AFL footballer I can't wait to cheer him on.
I reckon Craigy's right about the future of this squad.

Sam Jacobs is the answer to all my rucking dreams. Brilliant again, no dumb stuff. A shining example of how a ruckman should perform.
Won't miss weeks for his bump on Gram surely, accidental, slightly negligent, don't think he has a record, should be ok.

Luke Thompson and Brodie Smith were outstanding!
Sam Jacobs will be a ripper! He dominated the ruck with 33 hitouts on saturday night but majority of the time it went straight to St Kilda! (I suppose we arnt use to dominating the ruck, no offence to Ivan)

Tambling was very silly and will most likey get 1 week with an early guilty plea/good record. I think Tippett will be fine and Sauce will escape with a reprimand.

Did Bernie play for WWT on the weekend??

Tambling to get 1 match (with guilty plea)
Jacobs to get reprimand (with guilty plea)

Not too bad, good to have Jacobs available this week though.
