McKay out for 8 - 12

Poor bloke never seems to get it together. So frustrating when a player with that sort of potential never seems to get the chance to realise it.

No luck again early for us, but qaulity replacements in the wings.

I just hope this doesnt effect our chance for the flag. It cost us last year.

bad luck for sloane two years in row suffers a injury in round 1 which puts him out for more than a month.

my predicted changes for round three, i think these are pretty obivous martin and janesch were emergencies for round 1 and symes was best for centrals in a trial match last weekend.

In

martin
janesch
symes
tippett (if fit)

out

sloane Jaw/thumb
porplyzia shoulder
mackay shoulder
henderson (only if tippett plays )

There is no way Henderson will get dropped, valuable player! He pushes up the ground and looses his man on the way back, hence his 2 goals inside 50 on saturday night.

If it were me, maybe stevens for the pure reason that otten can play the swingman role and mckernan has played back at times for south adelaide. definitely not henderson as his pace and ability to find space is to valuable.

def not Stevens, best on ground according to coaches.
I wouldn't pick Jaensch, Martin and Symes - all the same type player.
2 of them + Tippett.

I think we can play 3 talls up forward and have McKernan 2nd ruck.
Tippett and walker to switch between chf and ff

How frustrated would Callinan be, he would have slotted in beautifully in Porps absence.

Spot on with Tippett + 2. Symes is a definite in on the wing. I'd like to see Martin but it may be Jaensch who seems to in a bit better form, depends on their form in SANFL this weekend.

It is a 'tall' line up, but I can't see them dropping any of the big men after their form last week.

stevens won't be dropped he is a important play in team. Maric is not a good option to drop because i would prefer tippett plays full forward and only rrucks inside 50.

Brodie Smith I think will be dropped for Tippett and one of the talls (McKernan) will be used as the substitute. Tough on the young kid but someone has to make way so will probably be the rookie.

Do you think he may still get upgraded when fit if porps is out for the year??
What would they have to lose in doing this?

Given Walker has improved I'd be inclined to stick with him at FF and McKernan at CHF, and interchange Tippet and Maric as rucks in a forward pocket.

When Jacobs is fit and up for selection I think Big Ivan will be struggling to hold his spot. I feel for the big fella because I'm sure he gives his all but, he has a bad habit of making the easy look hard. He made McKernan look like the starting ruckman against Hawthorn.

On the money there NFC. Saw both Martin and Jaensch on Saturday and both looked ready to slot in for Sloane and Mackay. Martin was all class.

Don't forget Symes though, perfect to slot straight in onto the wing. Mind you the way Doughty was hobling around training today I reckon all 3 might get a run.
