It's funny, because I know it as 'the Barracuda', but I see amateur wrestlers from Adelaide making that gesture all the time thinking it makes them look tough. Lol

If I were a Collingwood supporter, I'd be more disappointed that winning the NAB Cup apparently meant enough to some players that it would provoke such displays. I would be hoping for "Well, that's one in the bank, now onto the real stuff". I can understand some players going over the top after a Grand Final, but not after a pre-season trial match.

'The Magpies were investigating the gesture, with president Eddie McGuire saying Blair was unaware he was making a sexually suggestive sign.'I walked through markets in Bali in January and people there were selling t-shirts with 'Two in the pink, one in the stink!' written on them with that exact symbol.
But hey, just because they know, doesn't mean Jarryd Blair would, right?

I would think most 20-something year old blokes involved with footy clubs would have heard it mentioned at some point before.
Obviously enough people know otherwise it wouldn't have caused such a stir, even though it's another case of the football media trying to find a story in slow news week.

I just asked 2 work colleagues, f/m (38) and m (28) and neither of them had any idea .. I was going to ask our 19yr old receptionist but thought maybe that wasnt a good idea.
Who would have thought SAFooty would be such an educational site

Really? Can't believe how much has been made of this.
Media go way over the top with trivial little stories these days.

CP, in my office there are three young people, a 19 year old female, and a female and male in their early 20s. All of them quality young people, but when they start to communicate about matters social, I have no idea what they are talking about. We may not know what the gesture means, but I would be very surprised if a young footballer didn't. Not that I really care, it seems like a storm in a tea cup to me.

Yeah fair call mate, I guess my surprise was discovering how out of touch Ive become as I would generally have known what it represented in days gone by .. Certainly not concerned that Im missing out on much though
