Thought might be a good idea to have the one thread for discussion of the club's pre season games.

Disappointing against Melbourne and the Crows a few weeks back, and also rusty against Richmond last week in Alice Springs.

There's some footage of the Port v Richmond game on Richmond's website:

This week we play Geelong at Footy Park starting at 7pm. For season ticket holders of Port Adelaide its free entry, need to show Membership Card at the gate.

Hopefully key players such as Brogan, Gray and Boak all play and start to show some form.

Please note the guidelines for posting on the Port board:

Thanks

Does that mean any team can be listed or just the Power & the Crows?

Hard to know what to take out of last nights game, we played well but i didnt recognise too many of Geelongs players to be fair to them, didnt even see gary ablett there. I will say i think we will improve as an inside team compared to over the last few years.
Irons looks like being a decent player. It will be hard to leave him out of the side for round 1 and if he is it wont be long before his in. Daniel Stewart i rekon will have a big year. Motlop pulled out the tricks within about 20 seconds of the game starting and looks like he's gonna have a big year. Hartlett is all class and cant wait to get a full year of football from him. Brogan played well and looks to have added to his game a bit getting some holding the ball free kicks. Rodan was fine, dodging and weaving as he does, youd never know he had a knee recon. Chad Cornes as youd expect was throwing himself around when he came on. Will be hard to leave him out of the side also with his versatility to play back, middle and forward and a smaller bench. All in all i think we will improve as a side, but where we finish on the ladder may be determined by how much other teams improve/drop off.
