After watching Brisbane try to compete against Essendon,
I think the Suns will finish above them.
Brisbane were dreadful

Would have tipped gold coast before this weekend easily and after watching both teams, has only reaffirmed my views.

I voted GC. I saw a mate of mine today who is a huge Brisbane fan and I quipped that after the NAB Cup games last night it was "season over" for Brisbane. He didn't disagree!

Given that it's the pre season comp and 90% of teams are trying to get their first 22 right for Rd 1, I still think Gold Coast will be better side. Brisbane really look ordinary. I said when Voss was appointed a couple of years back (to mates, via email) that I wanted to put money on him being sacked. Their side is ok, but their recruiting is mystifying. They must have Fev there and a fit Brown if they're going to finish outside the bottom 5.

I'm still not convinced of their depth either. A few injuries to KPP and they're a goner because they rely on them so much.

Gold Coast by miles. Not because they've been given a leg up, I think their draft concessions have been over rated. It's because Brisbane have shot themselves in the foot in recent times.

Did hear he posted on his Facebook or twitter page "Full forward looking for a club this year, has alcohol and gambling problems"
He is still contracted for two years, think the lions will have to pay him about $750,000 to sit on his ass this season.

Sad this is even a poll topic, a real indictment on Brisbane. Every club should expect (rightly) to finish ahead of a team with 2 top level players, 5 blokes who might be at the level and 15 kids. Yet the more you look at Brisbane the more it looks like they probably are the second best side in Queensland. And to think after their last flag they held on to perhaps the best CHF in the game and two of the top notch midfielders going.

I would imagine if you said to a recruiter you'll win 3 flags in a row and for the following 8 seasons have a great CHF, one great midfielder and another very, very good one their eyes would light up and wonder how many flags in those 8 years. Brisbane had everything the rest of the comp wanted and squandered it.

Bring back Aker!

But one still has to better then the other, even if they end on one win each with percentage splitting them.

Fev has left his mark at the club, he's caused alot of headaches & heartaches, cost the club millions of $$$ in damages that will take years of rebuilding, Mr Know it all "Michael Voss" has to put his hand up & take alot of responsibility aswell.
Gold Coast will finish above Brisbane who will get the wooden spoon & Voss will be the 1st coach sacked in 2011.

Nup, we're judging Brisbane on what they did in 2010. They have lost their B&F winner, their most versatile swing-man ( Brennan ), have had a summer of turmoil and appear to have gone backwards from a season they finished 15th....

Gold Coast will finish ahead of Brisbane.

Spoken like a hopeful brisbane fan.
No full forward. Jonathon Brown can only do so much and your two best midfielders are still black and power, both at the wrong end of thier careers. Defence will struggle under constant pressure and barring Daniel Rich and Mitch Clark going through the roof, there is not a great deal coming through.

In regards to GC, i have always said they will do well this year, especially if they can chalk up a couple of cheeky wins early.
