Well.... come round 2 when this mob debut as a club, every eye in the football world will be watching, surely with all there draft picks and pick ups they will be around the mark in a few years time..... but until then i can't see them doing much.
They will finish around bottom of the table, 15-17 for me.
All talk on the Suns for 2011 right here!!
FROM AFL SITE:
The Suns get an extra week to prepare for their first official AFL match as they have the bye in round one. The following week they'll host Carlton at the Gabba.
Gold Coast will play three home games at the Gabba - including one against the Brisbane Lions in round seven - while it waits for the rebuilt Carrara Stadium to be completed. The second meeting with the Lions is in round 21.
The Suns' first game at their new home ground will be against Geelong in round 10. It's sure to be a big night, as their star recruit Gary Ablett is expected to line up against his former club for the first time. Ablett will run out on his former home ground of Skilled Stadium later in the season.

The Dog_ger predicts a good year for the suns.
They will be pumped.
10th.
They are set up to achieve.
AFL Dream would be 8th minimum.

Bottom. Wont win more than 2 games unless Ablett gets 50 touches and 8 goals everyweek. Reckon they will cop at least 6 100+ point floggings. Would love to see them not win a game

To win six games, finish around 13-14. The emotion early will give them a couple of wins that are considered shock results against much higher clubs, but the lack of a really damaging key forward will hurt them ultimately. Ablett will be brought right back to the pack without the number of other midfield options he had at Geelong. Josh Fraser, however, to have a career best season as he thrives on the responsibility of leading the rucks.

A big part of me wants to see them struggle.
Might win 3 or 4 games at home, but that'll be about it.

will be lucky to get a sniff in any away games first season (not counting the Lions home game). 5 wins is around the mark i think.
Rounds 18-20 are a potential car crash

Will Gaz be able to carry the side ala Chris Judd. I don't think so. He will be exposed because he will not have the talent around him feeding him the ball like he did at Geelong. But I am still tipping him to win the Brownlow ala Chris Judd.

All the experts tipped Port to finish bottom in 97, some even said we wouldnt win a game, but almost made the finals. Gold Coast could bomb this year or they could do ok, too hard to tell right now.

Guy McKenna has said he's playing Karmichael Hunt on Adam Goodes this Saturday night. I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes actually. Can't wait to see him kick or handball when the pressure's on!
Anybody know if it's being televised on free to air?

He will get a bath BUT the experience of following Adam Goodes to the ball, where he jogs, sprints, walks, turns, breathes the lot will be better than any video / training drill Karmichael will ever see or do.

Think people are forgetting they have some pretty good talent in this team, not saying they will make finals but cant seem em finishing bottom when you have
G Ablett (Bronwlow winner and arguably best in game)
N Bock (Club B+F, All Aus CHB)
M Rischitelli ( Club B+F)
J Fraser
J Brennan
C Brown
J Harbrow
Then add the equivalents of Scully, Trengrove, Martin, etc. We saw the impact top draft picks could have last yr
No doubt will fade come end of yr with rookie burnout

Was interesting to watch a panel last week with David King on it and he almost seemed prepared to put his house on GC17 winning a flag in within 3 or 5 years (cant remember which).
