With there youngsters another year older, will be an exciting year with the young blues outfit!
Will be interesting to see if Judd can keep up to his sensational best and if they can cause any headaches this year!
Personally, they'll be an average team around the mark 6-10 for me.
Home of the Blues for season 2011!
FROM AFL SITE:
Once again Carlton opens the home and away season by taking on Richmond at the MCG on a Thursday night. Carlton has comfortably won the recent round-one encounters with the Tigers.
Carlton heads north to play Gold Coast in round two, in what will be the Suns' first official game. A week later, the Blues face traditional rival Collingwood in a Friday night blockbuster at the MCG.
For the second year in a row, Brett Ratten's men will play a Monday night game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium. The match will be telecast by Channel 10.

6th.
Depth is getting stronger, but a few injuries to key players still concerns me.

Reckon we'll finish in the top 6. A few of the number 1 picks need to step up. Exciting times ahead just need to keep as injury free as possible (I guess all teams do).
Judd will continue to dominate as he shows no signs of slowing down (maybe another Brownlow) as was a worthy Brownlow recipient. I picked him mid season and won mega bucks.
Consistency in the defence is the key and hopefully our Aboriginal forward line fires regularly as they have the potential to be devastating.

The pace of the game was a bit quicker then what he was used to, but I thought he acquitted himself well.
For a first "game" in AFL, he'll only get better.

The question for SuperCoaches is, will he get a game ahead of Watson or do both rookies get a gig. FWIW I believe Watson showed a little more.

2 different players REB.
If anything it'd come down to Laidler, Duigan & Scotland.

Yeah Laidler worries me a little re Duigan. Surely Scotland is safe?

Watson looked good, kicks well and is a medium/tall defender if i saw him right.
Nick will get a crack as a KPP could also help them up FWD if required
Also, Yarran will play at HBF to get some quality footy coming off HB with Scotland, cant see Duigan playing that role.

Watson is 195 and weighs 101kg, still growing too. Monster of a kid for 18.
He'll be KPP just about full time.
Duigs is 10cm shorter and 20kg lighter. Back Pocket for him.
Actually can see him vying for Armfields role.....

Hope Im wrong Jabber, but I reckon Duigs is gonna struggle .. Rebounds well from defence, but lacks a lot in pure stopping ability.
Those dashes from the backline will be eminently harder at this level and any opponent that drags him back toward goal will likely hurt.

Good call i trust your opinion on any player who has been through Norwood.

Carlton for the top eight but Judd won't get squat in terms of votes this year after last season's cock up by the umps. Judd will have to get 40 possies to get a vote this year.

Being a passionate Blues fan and watching all games in 2010 I picked him for the brownlow in about round 15 and won mega bucks. Well deserved and he will go close barring injury again in 2011. Freak!!! Enough said
