Dunno if anyone else caught this last night on ABC, I didnt but watched it on the ABC website today.

Basicly about 3 young aboriginal boys and there story trying to make it in the AFL.
Definately worth a watch if you have a spare hour and a half.

Was real interesting for me as I have played with and against some quality young aboriginals that, had they kept on the right path, were a good chance to make it at the elite level.
Sad to see how some of them end up, and it would happen all to often I reckon.

Anyways was curiour to other peoples thoughts on the doco.

Heres the link for anyone that hasnt seen it but wants to watch

A couple of us were talking about it on the "things you rate thread".

As a Carlton man, watched it to see Yazz and the way he came through the system.

The original story didn't include Yarran, but at the Kickstart camp, Michael Cordell was betaken by him, and decided to
include Yazza as well as Daniel Jago and Daen Lomas.

I can certainly see what Carlton saw in him as his journey progressed.

Jago looked like he could've been anything just needed a attitude improvement, and Lomas just went off the rails.

At the Swan Districts club, the footage when Yazza was drafted, was Jeff Garlett. He was also at the airport to say goodbye to Yazza. Little did he know he'd be taken by the Blues in the Rookie Draft. He too had a difficult upbringing, but luckily it's worked out for him as well.

And am a huge fan of Yarrans Grandpa !!! :)
