i disagree, the man entertained us (those old enough to remember) & from my pov it is a mark of respect to him & any other person & it is no different to any actor, actress or musician that have passed away that have entertained us, almost everyone knows 'where they were' when elvis, marilyn monroe, jfk, john lennon, michael jackson, dame joan sutherlund etc etc passed away & you do feel for them & their families etc etc...so to me it wasn't a token gesture it was respect to a man that entertained me sometimes live but most times on 'the winners'
