I think their new slogan (similar to the last few) is gay "Its in our DNA, is it in yours?
But I love the new clash guernseys! Website looks good too!

Not a bad guernsey, I've seen worse. I liked the old one better though. Agree with you on the slogan Wedge. Not a fan of it, doesn't really capture the imagination at all.

It will be interesting to see how they go next year. I think they'll still make the finals, but presumably they'll start to lose the aura of the last 4 years.

I really liked the heritage guernsey they had a few years back. Think it was the pivotonians one with the thinner stripes...
Still dont like the logo- the old cats one was MUCH better.
As for the cats in 2011 dont be fooled they will still be tough to beat. Top 6 for me.

They still have it, they've had 2 logos for the last couple of years.
I don't mind it as the kids prefer the cat face logo and a lot of older people prefer the heritage style cat so it caters for all's taste.

You know you are in trouble when you start recycling Booney's jokes.

Time for something a bit more defiant from the marketing department I reckon.

Didn't know Booney had made it previously, but it's valid considering their current status.

It's interesting that it's mostly blue because I wonder whether it will go with white or blue shorts.
Because their normal guernsey is mostly white the AFL seem to always force them to wear white shorts to avoid clashes (2007-2009 GFs, basically every final I can think of) and let the other team where their normal dark strip. Even Freo got to wear their home (dark) strip in the final v Geelong this year at the G and had to wear white shorts.
So is this new clash strip an attempt to have a dark outfit option so they can wear it as a home option against a team that has a white away strip (ie, Freo)?
Otherwise, when would they use this strip?

The higher team chooses the colour of the shorts they wear, Cats choose white when they can. I prefer the blue but the players or club prefer the white

You sure Mr Beefy?
Why wouldn't the club choose the traditional navy shorts if they could?
I don't know for sure so you could be right - it''s just that it seems to me that the only reason Geelong would wear white shorts v Freo in a final at the G was if the AFL forced them to. If Geelong wore navy shorts and Freo wore their white away strip there would be too much white.

I remember a few years ago it was brought up and that was the explanation. I think it is the same in any league, the higher placed team picks the colour of thier shorts.
I would pick the darker shorts simply cos my arse wouldn't look so big! Maybe they like to look bigger...

Its pretty obvious Geelong dont clash with anyone and its a marketing exercise but my son loved the last one (had no 21 on it) and its grown 2 small so he'll probably want one of these ones, if he doesn't I will as to me its a cross between a rugby and footy top. (I Love Rugby tops!)
Im trying to talk him into getting a long sleeve normal guernsey in men's size small as they're going for $49.95.
There's a few guernseys including the Ford one and the 150 years one I meant to pick up but haven't yet, Geelong learnt their lesson from some early shockers and do alternate/clash/marketing guernseys well these days IMHO and the 2 logos is pure genius IMHO.
Now we've got our logos and guernseys worked out hopefully we can organise some players and coaches/officials for next year!

Yeah REB players and coaches can sometimes be handy. On that note, Geelong have a pretty good chance to rebuild. Depending on what the Ablett compo is, which I presume is 2 first rounders, that should help out nicely for the future. As for 2011 I would still expect to see Geelong in the top 8 at least.
