Collingwood rocked by sex assault claim

Collingwood's grand final celebrations have been rocked amid claims of a sexual assault involving one of its players.
The alleged assault is believed to have occured in the hours following Collingwood's premiership win on Saturday, triggering a complaint to police on Sunday morning.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman has confirmed an investigation is underway, but would not say if it involved a Collingwood player. No charges have been laid.
The Magpies partied in several upmarket venues following their triumph and are now gathered in Melbourne's inner east for their traditional 'Mad Monday' celebrations.
The club, which is expected to release a statement this afternoon, was already facing separate questions that threatend to sour their celebrations, with reports of a rift between president Eddie McGuire and coach Mick Malthouse.

I'm in no way condoning sexual assault, but you have to look at both sides of the story before making your decision, or at least wait for the investigation to be over!

THe sexual assault involving AFL players has come up time and time again, is it possible that one of these are actually true? I see this from both sides here, if this claim appears to be a girl waking up and feeling some guilt over something she did the night before so she claims its assault when the whole time its concentual, then wont this stop real assault victims coming forward? Then on the other hand she is assaulted but we all sit here and say she is doing for the money, then wont this stop real assault victims coming forward. I think it is really tough to make any comment about either side without any of the facts.

If you read it again, Anderson was more pissed at the club for allowing media photographers in there while it went on. Image image etc.

I can see his point, they're trying to promote responsible service of alcohol and they're doing funnels in the media, not a good look.
