Bond v Vardy?

Had a discussion with a few Crows supporting mates on GF day about this and none could decide, especially given both offered similar roles, but if you could only pick 1 of the 2 which one would you take and why?

Me I initially opted for Bond, just because I thought he was a bit more of a reliable kick for goal .. But then thought Vardy was a bit more creative up the field and IMHO the 98' team slightly shades the 97 team, so I couldn't decide.

PS: This is not designed to be a who is the better player competition, but simply a matter of which you would select in YOUR team.

I reckon Vardy was more versatile and, at his best, a better player. So I'd go for Vardy first.

I go for Vardy, could win games off his own boot at his best.

Bond was a quality small forward when not hampered by injury. But surely you cant go past Vardy always performed in big games hated port with a passion always played well against them even with limited preparation.

Vardy's best was better, but both were patchy.

Love that footage of a jubilant Bond running towards the boundary crowd just after kicking one of the '97 sealers.
By the way, does anyone else think he's a Gary Lyon lookalike ?

Bondy, his finals series in 97 was outstanding, he was the highest goal scorer in the finals series that brought the club their first flag

Personally i would take vardy he was more a complete package for mine. However bond was no mug. His highlight package in the GF was something special. His celebration after one of his goals was something that ill remember forever.
