Talk on the national game

Geelong v Hawthorn MCG Sat 10th July

Postby Wedgie » Mon Jul 05, 2010 11:16 am

This should be a great game, Im flying the family over for it and have some great seats in the Premium Geelong Social Club area.
Anyone else going?
Looks like a windy day with a few showers at this stage which is a shame.
Great to have such a huge match in the traditional Saturday afternoon slot.
Hawks to be in front at final siren but a goal after the siren to the J Pod will give the Cats the win. ;)

Will be great if the past 2 Hawthorn games (v Essendon & Bulldogs) are anything to go by let alone the past few games between Hawthorn & Geelong.
I personally hope the result is the same as the past 7 Hawthorn games this year.

Great. We get a chance to put the premature ejaculators back in their box and Wedgie flies over there to see the game. Get on the Hawks! :(

Hmm, good point REB, the last game I saw was when we thumped Collingwood in the finals and Geelong only have about a 50% strike rate when I go. Hawthorn in a canter!

Well that's what they'll all tell you anyway. Make sure you get shots beforehand and ensure you speak to both of their heads equally.

Nah mate, the only other game that looked half decent was Carlton v Bulldogs but that's a Sunday twilight game an we're flying back that afternoon. Plus the girls of the family want more time to shop while the boys of the family want more time to perve, so much talent over there!

LMAO. Port fans are so scarred by 2007 that they are going to barrack for a club that had the following

Damien Hardwick
Stewart Dew

and still has

$haun Burgoyne
Al Clarkson

and probably a few other Port nuffies studding boots around the place. You blokes are just sad. Get on the Cats boys the team for all South Australians ha ha.

I personally think the hawks will get up this week. Rather lose a few games now, rather than at the important part of the season. Also a bit worried about the game against the Crows too. I've got tickets in a corporate box for that game and I can't wait.

Don't forget Stephen Gilham REB! Similar to Tom Harley was deemed not good enough for AFL by the rocket scientists at Alberton and is now a premiership player.

The words 'rather' and 'lose' should never appear next to each other when discussing the Hawthorn football club. Give yourself an uppercut!
