Good effort by the AFL to put the umpires in pink, completely clashing with Melbourne, melbourne players even kicking to the umpires on a number of occasions.

Bullflogs didn't deserve to win. Hope they never win a premiership again.

Not to mention two goal line decisons that cost two goals and two 'out of bounds' that were incorrectly awarded against Melbourne. This is the second game where they've been absolutey hosed by the maggots. What do they have against the Demons anyway?

There was also a deliberate against Cross from Bulldogs. All showing the umpires, or whoever are instructing them, have zero feel for the game.

I'll tell ya what it is, it's religious based.
The umpires, generically called the Men in White (even when they're wearing pink), represent Good.
Wheras the Demons obviously represent evil.
Clearly a conspiracy against the Melbourne Football Club.
I propose they call themselves the Redlegs.

Just imagine how frustrated you would be watching that if you were a Melbourne supporter! At the end of the day we played good footy but a couple errors at crucial times cost us the match. Thats footy!

nah mate, it's not footy.

whoever made the unpires wear the same uniform as melbourne needs a punch in the mouth. i counted 3 times in the last quater that a demon "passed" to an umpire.

in a game decided by less than a goal, i feel we havn't heard the last of this!

The look on Jim Stynes face said it all! He was NOT happy.

I rarely watch AFL, but having the umpires resemble the Melbourne guernsey so much is a travesty. Melbourne showed great fight, they will be a force too be reckoned with next year.

TV have replayed Anderson's interviews on the radio today.
He is basically saying lets not forget what the whole event was about (fair enough) and why let one little mistake spoil that.
But it's the AFL who have implemented rules and interpretations that expect the players to be perfect, yet they couldn't get this right.

Yes, hence my post. That comment from Anderson was full of spin. They're quick out of the gates to reprimand/punish offending players/coaches, but when they stuff up themselves they try to spin themselves out of it.

Yeah, I had in mind the on-field stuff when players are expected to be unemotional robots, but you are right it is off-field as well

Besides, not ridiculous. "Western" Bulldogs are a joke of a club, a pack of losers who sold their soul yet haven't been able to win a premiership since 1954. People faun over them because they play "Attractive" football apparently. Too bad they can't do it come finals.
