The Crows will be wanting to build on the form from the first 3 quarters in the Showdown, to notch up a win against Richmond this week.

MY TIP - Adelaide by 24 points.

Whats the thoughts on selection for this week's game?

Walker in for Burton?

Any other changes that may need to be made to get over the Tigers?

Surely if we lose this week, the board we need to have a serious think about an internal review.
Sacking a coach mid-season is never the correct answer, but at this point Basset could be a darky for 2011!!!!

They played their best footy of the year yesterday, just couldn't do it for 4 quarters. Surely they will get something out of their first 3 quarters and take that into this weeks game.

We'll win and win comfortably.

Mackay, Walker & Knights possible ins. If Mackay and Knights get up I think that poor old Dogga is in trouble. He was fairly ordinary Saturday and there is a queue beginning to form for his spot in defence. You'd have to think Schmidt and Davis would stay in before him now, especially if Mackay comes back in to strengthen the midfield.

Burton getting dropped, I'm not so sure. I don't reckon Walker deserves the walk up start that everyone is championing him for. Yes Burton is frustrating but he provides an 'x-factor' that's hard for opponents to plan for. In comparison Walker is fairly predictable. I'd be more than happy to see Walker back in the side don't get me wrong, just don't think he is the match winner that everyone makes him out to be.

Hmmmm, I think I just defended Burton - time to duck for cover. x_x

Nathan Basset will coach us next year according to my sauce.

I think M Mickan should get it though.

Thank god we play Richmond this week 8)

In: Walker, Mackay
Out: Burton, Doughty

Jaensch better not be dropped. A good game other than 2 errors. Doughty meanwhile coughed the ball over just as much and conceded 5 goals! Crows to win by 37 points in the most inspiring game of football ever to be seen.

Basset's first coaching role at Norwood is not really going that well, I know they had a big win over sturt last weekend but come on, Mickan is a proven coach at SANFL level and in my opinion he deserves a shot at it.

You are on the sauce buddy !!! Get off it !!!

Surely you dont think giving the top job to either of those squids is the answer ? Mickan already showed he cant cut it as an assistant at AFL level, and Bassett was playing D4 SAAFL last year !

I hope we lose every game this year, and supporters like you jump off - thats the only clean out we need !

I think it's a bit early to call Bassett a squid (or an AFL standard coach for that matter), he's really only just starting to crawl and there's no way anyone could make an accurate assessment of how good or bad his coaching career is going to be.

Unless he walks (which I can't see happening) then I really can't see any way NC wouldn't still be at the helm again in 2011.

Yeah, agree mate, jury is still out on whether Bassett is a squid or not ;)

He would be a few years off coaching an AFL side, if ever. Stand by my Mickan assessment though.

Im pretty sure Bass wouldn't even consider it until his 3 years at Norwood are done, and of course that's providing he's showing enough to warrant it .. I'd also think he would likely need some assistant-coach time at AFL level before becoming the main man.

It's hard to knock what Mickan's done with the Bays, I know they haven't achieved the ultimate success yet, but he has overseen a pretty big transformation at Brighton Rd ... I think his AFL time is done though.

Im not judging him on his stuff at the Bays, i dont think that has much relevance really. Jarman had a similar effect at the Roosters, but i wouldnt hand him a coaching job in the AFL.

We will beat Richmond comfortably this week. If we play with the pressure and intensity of the weekend, they wont get near us. Our tackling was as good as it has been for a long time.

And probs the year after that! Enough about NC, this week should be our first win. We should be able to build on our performance on the weekend and hopefully put 4 quarters together. Im sure the boys are itching for that win as much as the supporters are.

After watching Walker the last 2 weeks, he still hasn't done enough for my liking to come back in, even though friday night was a much better performance. Lets hope he can get out of 2nd gear and have a big game this week, earning his spot back in the side.

For me Griffen and Mackay (if fit) come in. Who makes way could be anyone's guess.

The Crows are coming off their best game of the season and have showed signs of improvement the past couple of weeks, while Richmond are coming off their worst game of the season and are going backwards.

At home, I'd expect the Crows to win. May not be a pretty, or memorable game, but we'll win.

Richmond are positively woeful
Have played 1 good qtr of footy for the year against Freo a few weeks ago and if by some miracle they could reproduce that type of footy for 2 - 3 qtrs then would be a huge chance but just cant see that happening.
Crows should win by at Least 8 goals.

Early word is that Mackay & Knights are only slim chances for this week. Basically still 7 days before the match though given that it's a Sunday evening game.

You'd have to say that despite losing against the Pair last week, the Crows will be taking a lot more confidence into this game than most of the previous games this year so far...

Lord, please let us win *praying*
