Rd 4 review - well done to Chuck Norris, whufc and mighty_tiger_79 for picking the perfect 39 out of 39. Last week's winner, Mr Beefy backed up his 39 with a 30, missing out on Hawthorn, Freo and Adelaide. A Mum was one of a few that missed putting their tips in last week and suffered at the hands of Strawb07 who managed just 12 on the back of tipping the Bulldogs for 10 and Essendon for 8. In the race for the upper hand in the gadj household, I managed to sneak in front of missusgadj by a couple of points after her brain suffered a meltdown picking North for 2! Let's hope that form continues.
Average score for Rd 4 - 30.
Highest pick - Geelong (ave 8 points)
Rd 5 preview - In the Friday night blockbuster the Western Bulldogs (2-2), firing on all 5 1/2 cylinders come up against the Fiat Bambino of the footballing world, the Adelaide Crows (0-4) who are struggling to find any semblance of form and confidence. They'll need to in a hurry to stop the rot. Sydney (3-1) look like going in firm favorites against West Coast (1-3) on Saturday night at the SCG. A rejuvenated Melbourne (2-2) take on Brisbane (4-0) on Saturday night at the MCG in front of what promises to be a very healthy crowd. Port (2-2) take on the Etihad specialists St Kilda (4-0) at AAMI on Saturday night. On Sunday, Collingwood (3-1) play the traditional Anzac Day clash against the Bombers (1-3) in a game which normally belies form. Hawthorn (1-3) play in Tassie against North (1-3) in what might prove to be a 'nail the duffle coat to the grandstand game to make it look like people are there' game on Sunday (late) arvo. Freo (3-1) look to be in control of Richmond (0-4) at home and might be most people's no 1 pick for the week. Then on Monday, the Blues (2-2) play the flag favourite Cats (3-1) at the MCG.
Once again, best of luck.
