Teach the baby!

All right Port fans. I need help with my absolutely diabolical tipping. I used to be able to tip winners but in recent years SHEESH!

I'm still not sure about your boys because I reckon West Coast butchered the ball so much that you should have won by ten goals even over there and North Melbourne have been exposed as an absolute rabble by admittedly the best team in the comp right now.

You are at home to a side that is overhyped and has had to fight off two mid table teams at home and might not have done so without the efforts of Jonno Brown.

The Lions come to town without Jarred Brennan and Jed Adcock and the Power are still waiting on Robbie Gray. I'm leaning towards the Power but lately I've been the kiss of death. Surely you don't want old REB cheering on the Power this week. Imagine how good a 3-0 start to the year would be!

Are you good things to knock off the teddy bears or can you get me off your bandwagon by giving me a case for Brisbane.

HELP!

regards,

REB

Its a 50/50 game REB, probably too hard to pick.

Travelling to Perth last week won't help but the side has shown good form.

I really like Port in this one.

Brisbane haven’t been all that convincing needing big last quarters to overcome 2 teams who I don’t think will make the 8 this year. And this was only done on the back of the brilliance of J.Brown.

Of course that could happen again this week but the conditions and the fact port can rotate Carlisle, Chaplin & the Chad means I think they should be able to keep him somewhat in check. Also I am not sold on Fevola. To me Bradshaw was the perfect foil and I don’t really see Brisbane gaining much from securing Fev.

Brisbane are a bit overrated IMHO and I don’t think they will like this new found energy and pressure Port have developed.

My only concern is that Port have promoted Cloke to the main list and put him as an emergency which means Brogan must be in some doubt.

The more i think about this game the more i like Brisbane on form and history.

Port have also beaten two teams that will be out of the 8 - North Melbourne and West Coast (who the Lions also beat).
If you look at Brisbane's form line it is probably better than Port's, as most teams will beat North this year. Port didnt finish the game well against them, and Brisbane have been running home hard. Port also have to travel back from Perth for this one on shorter rest.

I will be tipping Brisbane, with my mind thinking back to the game where Port were miles in front and Bradshaw got them back into the game in the wet at footy park.

I dont think Port can maintain this intensity, and Brisbane are better quality than what Port has faced in the first two rounds. Brisbane also have the bigger bodies which suit the weather forecast.

If Fev can kick 60-80 goals this year, which he is on track for, then i think Brisbane have got more than enough back from him.

Lets not forget Brisbane should be stronger than they were last year, and they finished 6th behind the big guns last year.

I'm tipping Port.

The performance of Jonathan Brown last week covered for some major deficiencies in our midfield - particularly at stoppages.

Brown has never really managed to play well at Football Park either so if that trend continues we will struggle.

You raise some good pionts REB on the teams port have played and how the games played out. I think Brisbane is a serious finals contender and I think they will be Port comfortably. This is because I don't think port can stop both fev and Brown. I a massive fan on both chaplin and carlile but i don't think think they can stop the twin towers, maybe 1 but not both. The least likely will be Brown hes just on fire at the moment. Spewin that Brennan isn't playin, he has also been playing well

Sorry I missed this one mate. I thought we would battle out the game but thought that the Lions would be too good for us. They'll finish top 6 IMO and we might make the 8. The first time for them on the road this season was always going to pull them together.

I hope you went the Lions mate... ;)
