That wasn't urine they had dropped on them, it was West End Draught. Easy mistake to make though.

I agree with him, supporters there aren't used to sharing a ground with other supporters.
I hardly go watch Geelong there and travel interstate instead, it's got to the point that I now have a Melbourne 11 membership for my family instead of an interstate membership which would entitle me to entry at Geelongs games here.
My missus is a Crows supporter and she'd rather watch them on TV or in Victoria because ofthe amount of wankers at Footy Park.

And why isn't Essendon an option on the 'Who has the most feral fans' poll. They'd have to be up there in the top 2 or 3 surely.

In the games I've been to at AAMI I've never seen anything overtly 'feral'.

There's plenty of people that have no idea about football and/or a fairly low IQ generally, but I've never seen anything that I've thought poor form. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just relaying my experiences.

The only opposition supporters I've seen cop abuse of any kind have usually received it in response to their own behaviour.

I think Eddie is being a bit precious personally, if it's that big an issue I'm sure the SANFL can find him a lovely box to recline in away from the rif raf.

Eddie must have only just got on board Collingwood and has never heard of Victoria Park. ;)

Suck it in Eddie, suck it in.

Did we ever expect a Collingwood person to accuse others of being feral?

My bro in law went to mostplaces and swears Morrabin was by far the worst place he's been to, Uve also heard that Richmond fans in the old Ponsford stand used to be shockers and they referred tothat area as the cage.

Or maybe those other supporters aren't used to being outnumbered by about 35 to 1. When confronted by that in a situation like a football match, everything done by the home side supporters that is slightly aggressive is seen as abusive and 'feral'.

Eddie also needs to realise that his status and position will mean he cops more than the average punter.

I agree with you 100% on the point of supporters not being able to cope with sharing, and being wankers - i go to most Crows home games and are constantly amazed at the stupid comments i hear from fellow Crows supporters. But this hardly makes it unsafe.

Agree with Eddie here. Hate the place. Never had as much trouble at a ground as at Footy park when the Crows play.

Obviously Stan Is a crows fan. Try wearing opposition colours and see what it is like.

I wonder what Eddie would have thought of the spot I stood in at the G for Prelim Final day 2003. The first time at the football that I have been scared, not just intimidated but scared. I was with a group of about 40 odd Port people who were the object of about 200 Collingwood booze brigades verbal attack. I honestly thought that was going to be my first riot. Luckily it wasnt so and we got out of there alive.

Eddie needs to head over to the UK and attend a Premier League game.

Fans are seperated by stewards, or if the rivalry is particularly fierce, by riot police.

Outside the ground, away fans are rounded by mounted police and herded into the ground all at once.

AAMI stadium is like a kiddies picnic.

Footy Park is pretty feral, but I don't think people from Collingwood should be making comment on that! Has Eddie taken a look at the Collingwood supporters lately?

Tell me about it. Every Showdown I have to put up with being threatened with boiling hot tea and near razor sharp knitting needles, fortunatley the tri-coloured cushions and part completed Nanna-blankets break my fall.
