Thank god, wish it happened earlier.
Im looking forward to live Friday night games and no ads during the quarters.
Got a link to the official announcement Dogger?
I'll be sending a letter of thanks to the AFL when its confirmed.
I'd be watching todays game if it was on Fox.

Wedgie, my friend, no adds...?
Your living in the 60's my good friend.

This is like Coles/Woolies taking over "Con the Cheap."

I remember watching ALI boxing in my youth, on free to air.
Whats happened?
Has Boxing stopped?
"
NO"

Speak English Dogger, Fox show no ads during quarters. Its not a difficult concept for you to comprehend, surely?

The $$$ the AFL want for the next rights leave no alternative.

I hope they change quicker, the sooner I get live sport on Friday nights with no ads during quarters (be it NRL or AFL) the better.
Only TV sport Ive been enjoying this year is Rugby Union and that's because its shown exclusively on Fox.

Still waiting on a link Dogger, I hope you're not getting me excited with another of your LCD induced dreams.
You've also told us North are going to be the first team to leave the comp in the SANFL as they're so broke, can we expect both things to happen at the same time in Dogger world?

Not everyone can afford (or justify the cost of) pay TV, should sport on TV really become just a pleasure for the wealthy?
A lot of amatuer clubs play AFL on TV in their clubrooms, can they all afford to have pay TV?
People who want it add free on pay TV only are taking a very narrow minded selfish virew IMHO

The campaign to keep sport on free to air is laughable. If cricket and football were only on free to air, we would only be seeing Crows and Power games, and would never see Australia play cricket overseas again. I too hope for the day when all sport is on pay tv.
Thank the sweet zombie Jesus that I can watch soccer, rugby union, NFL, MLB and golf, as if it was on free to air, I would never see it.
And yes, I am being a selfish bastard. It ain't that expensive.

No need to call me names just because I only enjoy watching live ad free football.
It means I have to miss out on seeing my team today.
I respect your view to watch footy two hours late with ads, you should respect mine.
I'll continue to be converted to Rugby Union as I get to watch that live ad free.
If a Geelong game falls on Fox I'll tune in too.

Still waiting for a link from Doggers dream world so you might not need to panic Ian.

Yep 100% and we wouldn't see a Samantha Stosur vs Serena Williams match at a grand slam cut out early in the first set.

I have to agree with my mate TSG on this one ... although the cost is out if reach for some.
I hardly watch any free to air these days.

No panic, I just wont watch any AFL, the sport will lose a lot of supporters if this happens

So you don't watch AFL but it'll be the end of your interest in AFL when Foxtel has it exclusively?
I think the time has passed already mate.
