GWS - TAC Cup

GREATER Western Sydney has suffered a 94-point hammering in its inaugural TAC Cup clash against Northern Knights at Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday.

With the final score 25.15 (165) to 11.5 (71), high performance coach Alan McConnell - who will guide the side until Kevin Sheedy takes over for its AFL season in 2012 - said GWS could struggle for most of this season.

"The challenge for me is to remain positive and optimistic and make sure the players see that too, because as we know young boys judge themselves on whether they win or lose and we might not win too many [in 2010]," he said

he'd know poor form too, as he guided Fitzroy through their last few AFL games.

Alex Carey got Best Player for them with 34 touches, and kicked 2 goals. :D

Just like Coad playing for Gold coast, Is this in the best interests of his development? he should be playing SANFL ;)
