Was a good game. Boy Geelong are good to watch, just so many guns.

What a midfield; Ablett (best in comp by a mile), Bartel, Selwood, Corey, Ling ect, ect.

Essendon put in a brave fight. Stanton is a star and Prismall will be too.

Bit early for that....

But I think that's what Essendon have in favour over teams like Carlton - they (Ess) don't really have any stars. Davey is great to watch I have to admit.

Gumbleton was able to get to so many marking contests but even though he got hand to the ball, he never looked like he would take a mark

I was listening to 3AW last night and it amused me how they were writing Geelong off in the third quarter and saying the game was almost over. Surely they should know by now that you never write them off. I love that ability they have to flick the switch and within 5 minutes, they can blow a game apart, as they did in the last quarter. I know I'm biased, but they are still going to be hard to beat this year. Pick against them at your own peril.

Stanton is a star mate, he's been great for many years now.

Does anyone think if Davey kicked that goal in the 2nd quarter the end result might have been different? Huge miss, that would've put the Bombers up 4 goals with all the momentum. Geelong went down the other end and scored a goal, big swing.

Id think of Neagles's play on as a momentum swing

Yeah, what was he thinking. :?

I actually like Neagle though, big, strong, athletic, people are harsh on him. I think he's one that in a few years time could be a very decent key forward.
