i was gunna put this in the Crows Forum but thought it would be better in the AFL forum.

HIGH-flying Crows forward Brett Burton this afternoon is having exploratory surgery on a knee to discover if he will play any part in Adelaide's AFL premiership challenge.


Burton returned to Adelaide last night from the Crows' training camp on the Gold Coast.

Adelaide CEO Steven Trigg today confirmed to AdelaideNow that Burton had experienced pain in his rebuilt knee during Saturday's NAB Cup loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

"Brett has come back to consult a specialist," Trigg said.

"We're waiting on that specialist's report



I hope that the Birdman is fine and he plays alot of footy this year.

Mixed reaction to this news.

I'm dissapointed because he was coming into some very good form at the end of last year.

I'm not concerned though as there's a queue of young fellas waiting to have a crack, Taylor Walker at the top of the list.

His form was alright at the end of last year, but he did kick a fair portion of junk time goals against some pretty average teams (Port and Essendon) not much could have been expected though given his preparation for the season. His Semi final however was more than forgettable. Though the same can be said about other senior players.
