Have a crack! this is mine:
1. Collingwood (shudders!) Good all round unit, with lots of melbourne games
2. Geelong - always going to be near the top
3. St Kilda - top 4 and pushing top 2 again
4. Brisbane - will be an expected surprise
5. Western Bulldogs - ageing but hanging on
6. Adelaide - good mix of young and old should be here somewhere
7. Hawthorn - premiership hangover gone, so finals are a chance again
8. Essendon - will prove a handful for most team all year
-----------
9. West Coast - I like their side, big blokes can prove the difference
10. Carlton - No fev but will still be around the mark, just miss IMO
11. Fremantle - Will need to travel well to do any better 11th should be the lowest they finish
12. North Melbourne - Always underrated and once again probably have been
13. Sydney - Hall and O loughlin out Bradshaw in, is he good enough taking the #1 defenders all year?
14. Melbourne - Need improvement, hopefully for baileys sake 14th is enough. . .
15. Port Adelaide (and its not because i dont like them) Lade retired and losing burgers hurts!
16. Richmond - I know i have written them off, but im sure they will bite!

1. St Kilda. Seasoned side, hard bodies, ultra hungry, minor round is their time.
2. Geelong. Lose a couple of matches, rest a few stars, win another flag.
3. Western Bulldogs. Like the two above, seasoned side with a dead soft draw. Bully the rest until the usual September **** up. Most overrated side in the league this summer.
4. Adelaide. Friendly early draw combined with a good mix of youth and experience sees them into the four.
5. Collingwood. Like what they've done with their list but the draw looks formidable.
6. Hawthorn. Will bounce back from last year but a few question marks over the make up of the side. Clarko, like Bomber last year needs new tricks.
7. Brisbane. Won't advance or fall back as a result of Vossy's trash and treasure efforts over summer.
8. West Coast. Back in the eight as the young generation has now had a couple of years of senior footy.

9. North Melbourne. The most underrated side in the comp. Lots of young players coming through. Must find an avenue to goal to finish in 9th.
10. Essendon. Another team with a reasonably hard draw, but don't have the talent of Pies to get through it. Competitive for most of the year but will fall short.
11. Carlton. Who is going to kick the goals? Setanta? Waite on one leg? Rookie, er Lachie Henderson? Could start slowly with an underdone Waite and no Judd for three.
12. Sydney. Young players coming through and Bradshaw a valuable acquisition.
13. Fremantle. Will climb the ladder slightly due to an improved run with injuries.
14. Port. Will win a few at home but I wouldn't be touching them away from home. Could be a long year.
15. Melbourne. Off the bottom with a couple of extra wins. Worth a punt at the G.
16. Richmond. When an average list has a cleanout a winter of discontent looms.

regards,

REB

the top seems to be a long way from the bottom. i think 8th and even 7th spots are the only ones that will be fought for and only really Sydney and Essendon are in with a chance...

i'd like to be proven wrong and see someone from the latter half really excel but we'll see. SO SO keen for round 1!!!
