Players in Public

I was in Port Lincoln on the weekend at the Tunarama Festival and I must congratulate the town on putting on a wonderful weekend of entertainment. On Sunday afternoon we decided to head to Riccuito and Goodwins hotel to have a counter meal and decoded to sit and listen to a live band.
The family were extremely excited when we sat down and on the opposite table where 5 crows players. As the afternoon/evening progressed we were dissapointed with their behaviour.

Who cares what they do in their spare time ... and I bet you will still clap and cheer them on the field the next time they play.

Jocks are jocks, whatsoever team they play for!
I keep saying we should keep them in cages between matches... ;)

get over it. Let me guess these players were forcing these women to hang off them were they? Not half

I was at the Highway the other week and saw several Crows players out and about. The one behaving like a w*nker was the unknown kid presumably a member of the latest batch of draftees. The ones with profile seemed to be more behaved.

You can go out and see people behaving like tossers anywhere and everywhere, and the majority of those are the general public !

It's disappointing whenever you put someone on a pedestal only to find out that these people are only just too human. Look my footballing hero Gary Ablett, haven't felt the same way about him since the Alisha Horan incident. I used to idolise him but now I just pity him. Nearly every so called 'god' comes unstuck at some stage.

Taking your kids to a wet gig is also something that can open their eyes to certain things. I know this because my old man was (and is) a muso and I grew up in Pubs and saw a lot of *ahem* questionable behavior.

I feel for you mate but really you shouldn't have expected anything less once anyone gets on the piss. They don't say 'instant ar5ehole - just add alcohol' for nothing. And that's for people who aren't famous.

REB

No, Carlton is the only club in the league where it's club policy that you get rat ar5ed, especially if you are new recruit. Go Bluesaggers!

Nothing like taking the kids to the pub full of people whom have been drinking all day

If this was such a 'public' display then there should be no problem in naming the players......

Glad you said nearly, I can't recall a time Barrie came unstuck, maybe that's because he is the only real God ;)

Russell Ebert is the only man whole walks across West Lakes to the footy.

Was he on his way to play a few wholes of Golf? Wouldn't he disappear down the whole in the water? Are we getting the hole story?

That would make Russell Barrie's son Jesus then!!

BTW, I must admit, standing on Albeton oval a few years ago, waiting for my daughter to run out as mascot, looking towards the North reserves side with Barrie and Russell both having a chat with Ricky Ebert, I was thinking how much talent can you have in one place?

The live band which was acoustic was about 4pm and we went in for a famliy counter meal so we could say we had been to Roo and Goodies hotel. I wont reveal who the players were. I have just written to the AFC and the PL Hotel expressing my dissapointment.

If it was a group of 4 players that had come to Lincoln and happened to all play for the same country football team, would you do the same thing?
