Well not exactly but I think that is what his actions are saying....

Methinks he has had enough of the AFL system......

Kangaroos suspend and fine Hay
June 14, 2006 - 5:39PM

The Kangaroos have fined and suspended troubled fullback Jonathan Hay for drinking alcohol the night before a game with the AFL club's VFL affiliate.

Hay was fined $5,000 and suspended for one game under the players code of conduct for drinking the night before the Tasmanian Devils' clash against Werribee at Hobart's Bellerive Oval last weekend.

A group of young Kangaroos players were reprimanded by the club after they admitted to being on the gaming floor of the Wrest Point Casino the night before the game.

"The club has expressed the view to the players that we deem this as inappropriate preparation for a match given their obligations to themselves and the clubs they are representing (both Tasmania and the North Melbourne Football Club)," Kangaroos chief executive Geoff Walsh said in a statement.

"Further to this, one of the group, Jonathan Hay, has admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the match and as such has been fined $5,000 under the AFL Player Code of Conduct and has been suspended for the next match he is eligible for selection."

Hay has endured a dismal season since he was traded to the Kangaroos from Hawthorn at the end of last year.

The former All-Australian backman, 26, cannot crack a regular game with the Roos and was dropped after the round nine loss to St Kilda, which was the last of a string of poor games.

Werribee beat the Devils by 73 points.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

He's not fit at all, really struggling to find form, so what does he do, he goes and has a few ales before the game.................Good thinking the Jonny. With that sort of decision making I can forsee you sitting of the Feberal Labour front bench.

Probably didn't help him too much back in '97 when his then team mate Shane Crawford said that "We think he could be the next Wayne Carey" on the Footy Show.
