I read that he's released a book.

Sounds pretty intense.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts and if they'll be purchasing this book?

I laugh so hard at bird's like Kate Neilson for thinking that "I'll change him" it's going to be different.

He is what he is and that will probably make it a great read and the stupid bitches who think that it's a challenge i say sucked in.

Wayne Carey is one of the most brilliant footballers I have ever seen but I honestly can't think of a less interesting person.

It hardly touches on his footy career so its of no interest to me.
Only met the guy once and he was really nice and quite pleasant to talk to.
Best CHF I've ever seen by a mile.

And people make the assumptions of what sort of person he is from the media?

Hasn't he admitted himself he's terribly embarrassed by his behavior?

How else could we, without knowing him? Sure, not the way to make character assumptions/judgements but if you were to compile a dossier of stories reported by the media I am sure you could make a case to suggest he isn't the nicest bloke going around.

So he didn't glass his girlfriend? He didn't hit that cop? Oh that's right he played for the Roos. Not that Gary Ablett Snr was a model citizen off the field.....according to the media anyway.

So, Mr. Simpson: you admit you grabbed her can. What do you have to say in your defence?

He sounded positive and really switched on when I heard him interviewed recently. So much improved from that broken man I watched on Denton. He'll have to cop people judging him as a DH based on his life from 2001 to recently. Not a great resume but we all have patches of our lives we aren't that proud of probably.

They were saying on 5AA that apparently in the book he's admitted to being a regular cocaine user from about 2002 which means the Crows traded away a number 1 (or 2?) draft pick for a guy with dodgy shoulders, a drug habit and a personal life on the skids. Oh well, seemed like a good idea at the time :o

Anyone doubting just how good he was at NM should spend some time on YouTube and check out the footage. I was watching highlights of the 1994 prelim final v Geelong the other night and he was better than awesome. I think he's the best player I've seen.

Mr. Simpson, your silence will only incriminate you further.

No, Mr. Simpson, don't take your anger out on me.
Get back! Get back! Mist -- Mr. Simpson -- nooo!

I could never doubt his ability as a footballer on the field.
Its a pity he let himself down so often off it.

His admission of cocaine use during the period he was playing for Adelaide is bold to say the least.

Before anyone reads this post, please set your sarcasim dector to about 90%.

I cant believe he would such a terrible thing. No such thing happens in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or anywhere expect a naughtly place called Perth. Thats were all the bad people are. *

Seroiously though a pretty big admition to make. I had a read of few of the extracts in todays paper as well. I think it would actually be an interesting read, espcially the part about him and Kelli stevens, interesting way he describes here.

Even when I write something as obvious as that you take it as sarcasm? WTF? innocent comment about and admission he has made.

You Crow fans need to get over yourselves.
