Fantasy Footy

Postby Booney » Thu Jun 01, 2006 8:55 am

After a drunken football discussion involving a few mates and their wives,(I know, women footy and grog dont mix),we had begun to make our own fantasy footy comp with 4 teams in it.Each team has its own theme, but what I am finding is I need a few players in certain teams and would like some help from what is perhaps the most knowledgable group of football officianados in the land.I have most of the positions filled but need some extra names to finish the sides,I will post them all at a later date and we can debate who the ultimate winner would be.

This may move to the General Discussion forum in time,we will wait and see.

Players can be VFL,AFL,SANFL,WAFL,past or present, this is a very open competition. The 4 teams are divided into the following groups:

1: The Mongrels-Tony Liberatore,Tony Lockett,even Dave Granger,David Rhys-Jones etc.

2: The Figjam's-Nathan Buckley,James Hird,Clive Waterhouse and co.

3:The Fugglies-Mick Martyn,Micky Gayfer,Cameron Ling,Jason Akermanis and so on.

4:(This one decided by the ladies on here and at home) The Hotties:Tony Modra,Brodie Holland.

So,ladies(Falcon,Magic) please help with the Hotties,I think the rest of us can cover the others.

Any ideas?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Is that really necessary? Even the papers, who don't care too much for the truth, reported that it was in response to a an altercation, whereby the "woman" was biting him- I reckon the headline should've been "Footballer bitten by feral pig"...

I think people have a right to self defense- by the way, I thought you may not have jumped on everything the media says, especially considering one of your "own" was recently, incorrectly accussed in the national press...

Mate I agree everyone deserves the right to a fair trial and Brodie will get that opportunity, my comments were not based on any media commentary other then the Court transcripts.......

Their is a fair process in place and I will restrain myself from making further comment until Brodie has been given a fair opportunity to defend the allegations......
