Bernie Vince doesn't get the appreciation he deserves

Honestly, Bernie Vince gets no where near the amount of praise he deserves, his improvement over the last two seasons has been astronomical compared to where he came from. He is better than alot of highly rated Victorian Midfielders at present, and I honestly don't think he has hit his ceiling yet. Which is amazing when you consider that this season he is actually up there with the top midfielders of the comp, but simply gets no media recognition.

He isn't elite (yet), but he is definitely just below it.

Fair call i would think.
Before this round he was ranked 7th in disposals in the AFL for the year. His disposals are usually very effective and he loves kicking long which is a great asset. Him and McKay are both very exciting prospects for the crows in the near future!

To get recognition, he needs to take his girlfriend to the Brownlow night in a red dress with her boobs hanging out, and from that moment on they will over-rate him beyond your wildest dreams.

Media recognition .. so that's what players are after. Here I was thinking they played for premierships :)

Lance Franklin's form has been inversely proportional to his appearances in the social pages.

I'd be extremely happy that Bernie Vince gets little external recognition.

Yeah he's doing very well Farmy.
Not sure which parts of the media you're referring to, but he tends to get a mention on the Foxtel based shows where they tend to actually discuss players a bit more in their discussions.

So some recognition is a good thing, but it affects players differently.
Last thing you want is a team full of big heads who think they're the greatest, without having achieved much except good stats.

To be honest, I think the bigger the head for Vince, the better.

Good call, he's developed very well and a great kick for a long goal. Currently 6th for disposals.

Vince nominated in the All Australian Squad of 40 to be culled soon. I expect he will make it aswell on the wing or bench.

Well he should now. Bernie has been belted from pillar to post Essendon tonight because they don't have an answer for him and he is still racking up the touches

Do you notice he gets a lot of easy touches standing at CHB around 40m out on his own when the crows are coming out of their backline?
I agree, one of my favs too. Becoming a genuine star. Would love to see him sneak an All-Aus gurnsey, might struggle but great effort to be in top 40.
With his 2 finals should win B&F and wouldn't be surprised if he polls 14-15 Browlnow votes!
Great work Bernie you're a star!!
