I rate the bloke, but as always happens especially with forwards, as soon as someone shows some great form and looks capable of kicking bags every week they automatically become "guns".....

I called that Taylor Walker would be dropped a couple of weeks before he was, and everyone who responded said I was wrong and no way it would happen, and it did !

As long as Kurt keeps doing what he's doing, then the Gold Coast will move heaven & earth to get him.....

he is close to becoming a gun and he will get better and better we need to remember how little football he has played. With the experience he is gaining he will become one of the elite forwards IMHO.

but the difference between walker and tippett, is that kurt i think has the potential to be a superstar, especially with his rucking and versitility like a riewoldt or pav. not just a full forward.

Probably the most important player at the AFC behind Bock.

He's not quite a gun yet but is very close.

Ooh big call ... Walks has more natural ability than Tippett, but Kurt has the size, athleticism and a competitive streak/mongrel that would keep him ahead I think - You would imagine he will always remain more versatile, and he has the ability to win his own ball quite regularly which is something the best players like Reiwoldt, Brown, Buddy etc also have (not suggesting he's at their level though)

mail is he is still 50/50 on weather or not he will stay. family wants him to come, plus his buds want him to come back, but the AFC remains an attraction.his decision will NOT COME DOWN TO $$. but have heard he will be a part of the GC senior group , although his age. and will get huge amounts of $$. can hardly blame the bloke if he does. i hope he does as i am , as of now a gold coast supporter:) i will miss adelaide.

Depends on his personal motivations I reckon:

- If his main aim is to win and AFL flag then he will stay with the Crows. Recent history shows that it takes new teams around 7-8 years to win a flag, he doesn't have to be a genius to see that he will have more chance winning a flag with the Crows current list at this moment in time than with a brand new team comprising of a squad that currently consists of 1 rugby league player.

- If his main aim is to cash in and/or help establish an AFL club in his home town then he will go.

My money is that he will stay.

Is there room for Walker and Tippett in our forward line? I'd like to think we can retain both of them, but i have a feeling we will lose one of them.

Dear Kurt,

At this point in time we are establishing a quality young list, the likes of which the AFL has never seen in your home, the Gold Coast. As a young player with a number of games under his belt and having spent time in what is well regarded as one of the best equiped AFL clubs ( Adelaide Crows ) we are happy to supply you with a blank cheque which we would appreciate you fill out and return to us by 1 Jan 2010. This will enable us to utilise out very, very deep salary cap to best negotiate with other young AFL stars we wish to add to our list.

Your key role in not only the on field but off field goings on as a key member of the leadership group will see you exposed to many potential sponsors which do not fall within the confines of our salary cap.

Your Mum,Dad,family and girlfriend have expressed that you consider this proposal before filling out the cheque that is enclosed.

Rest assured that in your 5 year deal we have the ability to increase not only your earning capacity but the opportunity to establish you as the name, face and star of the newest most exciting AFL franchise.

Also included is a 2 night stay in Penrith and Parramatta.

Yours,

GC17

Yep, he'll stay..... 8)

Gold Coast will win a flag inside 7 years. If their recruiting department was worth a pinch of sh1t then they would be working overtime scrutinising any eligible player under their terms of entry with the AFL.

Much as I hate to say it I think Booney will be right. Tippett is a player you can build a forward line around and GC17 will be after him in a big way. Even if he doesn't become a superstar like many people think he will, he is a very athletic tall with a great pair of hands and will be the key forward target.

Adelaide have to throw money at Tippett. They have many great kids to play around him but he is the key and going ahead will the best key forward the Crows have had if they can keep him.

If throwing money at Tippett means the veterans get paid less then so be it. The Crows must look to the future. Chances are that they could be without the likes of McLeod, Edwards, Goodwin and Burton by the end of 2010, so they've got to look after the kids.

He is a must keep. Forward line looks very good with him there. Straightens the crows up.
