13 of course - I could then always blame the number and bad luck for my errors in disposal... ;)

I usually wore number 2 when I played, so I'll go for that. Funny thing is I never asked for it, I just seemed to keep getting 2 handed to me.

The number 1 is a funny one. I grew up in an era where captains or very good players wore the number 1, it was a number of prestige. These days they hand it to anyone. I guess it doesn't really matter what's on your back, you can't see it anyway :)

Number 19 after my favourite player Jason Dunstall.

I always played in number 3, back in the days when they had the Capt at 1, VC at 2 and the DVC at 3 ... but I wouldn't care if I had number 300 (from Adelaide Uni) as long as I got a game ;)

Just for interest, does it matter if it's AFL, SANFL , amateurs, or anyone else? ie. would you wear a different number in the AFL to SANFL say?

For no reason in particular I started with no 14 at school footy and kept it going, if I ever went back to playing footy again I suppose I would most likely take it back again to be consistent!

I wore no.4 thru my junior footy because I idolised Tony Lockett.
Didn't help that I played back pocket!

Switched to no.1 when I started playing regular senior footy...
